This may be a bit out-of-order and I will TRY to correct but it's not really that important to anyone other than us really!!
Grenada Sailing Week was on during the first week in February and on Saturday and Sunday before it the Grenada Workboat Regatta took place. A bus had been arranged to take yachties to Grand Anse beach for the regatta on Saturday and we went along.
Old workboats set off from the beach, race round a course, come back to the beach where one of the crew jumps out and runs up the beach to a bar where he has to down a tot of rum and only when the glass is back on the counter is he the winner!!

It was fairly busy and we did not see that much of the runners but it was great fun and the food and the drinks were good and quite cheap!! Here I bought some lovely Spice Necklaces with nutmeg, ginger, cinnamon, cocoa, turmeric, cloves all threaded together with beads - beautiful and lovely room fresheners!
During the Sailing Week, some of the courses for the sailing week went past the mouth of Prickly Bay and we could see the yachts quite clearly. The finish was nearby and some of the yachts would then run into Prickly Bay (possibly to take their sails down in the calm) sailing right past us.
One of them was an old friend of ours as it was the Peake Yacht Services boat and had been laid up on the hard just a few yards from us while we were in Trinidad!!! The crew had obviously been working very hard but I’m afraid I have no idea of any positions!
