Really sorry I’ve not been in touch or kept up-to-date.
Prickly Bay is at the south of the island - I've shown it on another map!

When we first arrived, I kept forgetting that we were no longer on mains power and every time I wanted to type up the blog and sort the photos I ran out of power! We can charge very easily ashore as the bar is very well organised and has lots of charging points all with different plugs etc!! However, I’m finding it difficult to get a strong enough signal to post on the blog; we tend to go over in the afternoon when lots of other yachties are there and I’ve had problems in the past if there are many others connected – I think tablets and phones etc connect more easily and good old laptops get pushed to the back of the queue!! Add that to the fact that we start chatting to someone……. no blog
This has all been compounded by the fact that more recently it has been a bit difficult to get ashore.
Just before we left Trinidad, I twisted my knee and pulled something which has made my mobility really limited especially when I’m ashore – and that’s when we can get ashore!! Although we are in a big bay, it’s pretty busy here and as Moontide doesn’t like crowds, (ie is difficult to handle in confined spaces!) we are anchored quite well out. This was great when we arrived but over the last 2 weeks, the winds off the Columbian coast have been very strong (in fact gale force at times which is not usual for this time of year) resulting in high-ish winds here AND quite a swell; with the boat bouncing up and down I have to be pretty careful getting in and out of the dinghy so we have to pick our times carefully, usually, as I said, in the afternoon. (I do also have to say I'm a complete wimp at the moment!) It's no problem overall – we have plenty of stores and water and spend our time happily sitting under our awning reading etc but it has meant I’ve not had much opportunity to post on the blog.
SO I’m posting this now and will then start again!!
